CARLSBAD, Calif. — Rubio's Restaurants Inc. has announced the appointment of two restaurant industry veterans to its real-estate development team. Valerie L. Kemp was named real-estate manager for Southern California, and Jeffrey S. Mayhall was named real-estate manager for Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Utah.
Kemp, who recently re-joined the Rubio's development team, previously served in various real-estate roles for Allied Domecq Retailing USA, Wendy's International USA and Peet's Coffee and Tea. Most recently, she was real-estate manager for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Kemp will be responsible for Rubio's real-estate development in the Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Orange County and San Diego markets.
Mayhall recently joined Rubio's as a real-estate manager based in Phoenix. Most recently, he served as director of operations for Camelback Commercial Development Companies LLC of Phoenix. Mayhall will be responsible for Rubio's real-estate development in the Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver and Utah markets.
