NEW YORK — Energy Kitchen has announced the expected 2008 opening of five new franchise stores, expected to increase the number of Energy Kitchen locations to 10.
Additionally, the company has awarded 10 franchise stores that are in various stages of construction, real-estate selection and development throughout New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
The company plans to operate 70 units nationwide within the next five years.
With year-to-date revenues surpassing the $5 million mark, the company has exceeded its 2007 total revenues, with projections of doubling revenues in 2008. Energy Kitchen serves 60 percent of its customers via delivery and offers online ordering through its Web site. The chain serves wraps, salads and entrees such as its Ostrich Burger, Bison Philly Cheesesteak, Protein Pancakes, Energy Muffins and smoothies such as Protein Power Punch and Lean Body Creamsicle.
