MARGATE, Fla. — Salad Creations was named the No. 1 salad-only franchise in Entrepreneur Magazine's "2008 Franchise 500" ranking, appearing in the January issue on newsstands Dec. 19. Salad Creations also was named one of the industries "Top New Franchises" and No. 461 in the overall ranking.
"We're honored to be recognized by Entrepreneur as the No. 1 salad franchise," said Jeff Levine, Salad Creations president and chief executive officer. "This ranking is due in large part to our franchisees, area developers and corporate staff's passion for the concept and ongoing hard work to build the Salad Creations brand."
Headquartered in Margate, Fla., Salad Creations was founded by Levine in 2003 after he realized an increasing number of consumers were looking for an alternative to fast food. In 2005, Levine began to franchise the concept. More than 34 locations are across the United States, Brazil, Mexico and Trinidad and more than 100 locations are scheduled to open in 2008.
