EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Jamba Juice Inc. has launched its new breakfast menu in all stores nationwide, the company announced.
"We are on a breakfast mission," said Paul Coletta, senior vice president of marketing and brand development. "We're encouraging America to make breakfast a priority, and feel the difference a healthy breakfast can make in their day."
Based on the results of the breakfast test in Los Angeles and New York last fall, Jamba believes that consumer demand is strong for healthier breakfast options. Jamba's breakfast menu offers nutritionally balanced yogurt blends, organic granola blends, all-natural baked goods and freshly squeezed juices The new organic granola blends represent the first time Jamba has offered a 12-ounce cup size. New breakfast menu items include:
- Granola Topper: A nutritious breakfast of blended fruit, low-fat yogurt and soymilk topped with crunchy organic granola. Jamba's organic granola includes Omega-3s, whole grains, pumpkin and flax seeds. Mango Peach Topper and Berry Topper offer a healthy dose of fiber and protein. The cost is $3.60 to $4.80 for a 12-ounce size; $4 to $5.20 for a 16-ounce size.
- Chunky Smoothie: Offering fresh bananas, strawberries, organic granola and peanut butter, blended with soymilk and nonfat yogurt. The cost is $4.10 to $5.30 for a 12-ounce size; $4.50 to $5.70 for a 16-ounce size.
- Yogurt & Fruit Blends: A healthy blend of berries, nonfat plain yogurt and soymilk in two flavors: Sunrise Strawberry and Bright Eyed & Blueberry. The cost is $2.85 to $ 4.15 for a 12-ounce size; $3.25 to $4.55 for a 16-ounce size.
- Fresh Squeezed Juices and Juicies: Orange Juice, Orange Mango Passion and Orange Carrot Banana are excellent sources of Vitamin C, and Carrot Juice is an excellent source of Vitamins A and B6. Customers can boost your juice for free. The cost is $2.65 to $3.75 for a 12-ounce size; $3.05 to $4.15 for a 16-ounce size.
- Baked Goods: These new baked goods are trans-fat free and include Reduced-Fat Blueberry Loaf, Reduced-Fat Cranberry-Orange Loaf, Zucchini-Walnut Loaf, Blueberry Oatcake and Omega-3 Cookies. The cost is $1 to $1.95.
