Starbucks sued in N.Y. over tips

The New York Times: A former barista has sued Starbucks Corp., accusing the company of cheating New York state baristas by giving a share of their tips to shift supervisors.

The lawsuit was inspired by a ruling last month in which a California judge awarded $105 million to baristas throughout the state, after finding that Starbucks had improperly allowed shift supervisors to share tips.
