HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Froots Smoothies, the South Florida-based smoothie and gourmet wrap chain, has annouced it has signed exclusive franchise deals that will expand its presence in Florida and Southern California.
Froots menu items range from quick snacks and meals, such as wraps and salads, to smoothies and fresh-squeezed juices.
In Florida, Froots has entered an agreement with Chris Cavallo, former president of Froots and current chairman of the board. Cavallo plans to have 12 to 15 stores in development by the end 2009.
In Los Angeles County, Eric Myers is the Froots area director. Myers plans to open three stores in 2008, and expand to a total of 15 by the end of 2009. Additionally, in San Bernadino County, Daryl J. Williams and Richard E. Miller plan to open two stores by the end of 2008 and expand to six stores by the end of 2009.
Froots was started in 2002 and has grown to 30 locations in 12 states. There are another 35 locations under development, as well as stores in Ireland, the Turks and Caicos, and a development agreement with in United Arab Emirates.
