SAN DIEGO — Comparable-store sales at Jack in the Box's Qdoba Mexican Grill brand increased 2.4 percent for the quarter ended March 13, 2008, the company has announced.
Through the first half of fiscal 2008, Qdoba's comps were up 3.5.
Revenues for the quarter were $693.5 million, up 5 percent compared with revenues of $660.7 for the fiscal 2007 second quarter. Year-to-date, revenues were $1.6 billion, up slightly compared with revenues of $1.5 billion for the first half of fiscal 2007.
Net income for the quarter was $26.4 million, off 3 percent compared with net income of $27.2 million for the fiscal 2007 first quarter. Year-to-date, net income was $63 million, off slightly compared with net income of $64.6 million for the first half of fiscal 2007.
Jack in the Box is projecting a flat to 2 percent increase in comps at its Qdoba restaurants for the quarter and a 1 percent to 3 percent increase in comps for the year.
