El Pollo Loco intros new chicken sandwich

COSTA MESA, Calif. — El Pollo Loco has announced the rollout of its latest chicken sandwich, available June 9 through August 3, 2008.

The sandwich features grilled El Pollo Loco citrus-marinated chicken breast placed on an authentic grilled telera roll (Mexican style soft bread used for traditional torta sandwiches) and topped with shredded lettuce, guacamole and pico de gallo.

El Pollo Loco will communicate the availability of its new chicken sandwich with a television spot that will begin to air in select West Coast markets starting June 16. Additionally, a wide mix of point-of-purchase vehicles will be used, including banners, translites, window clings and drive-thru communication.
