SAN FRANCISCO — The board of directors of Growers Direct Coffee Co. Inc. has appointed Mick Rynning as a new director of the company. In addition, J.D. Douthitt has been named the new chairman of the board and the other director, Nepal Muhuri, has been named interim chief financial officer.
Rynning most recently served as president of Ellianos Coffee Co., based in Lake City, Fla. Previously, he served as director of international business development for Church's Chicken. Rynning's other business and franchise experience includes working as both the national franchise manager and Georgia district operations manager for OneSource Franchise Systems and as the manager of international franchise administration for AFC Enterprises Inc.
Rynning is also an executive board member of the Fast Casual Executive Alliance, and is a speaker/educational panel member for the National Restaurant Association, International Franchise Association, National Coffee Association USA and Specialty Coffee Association of America.
