DESTIN, Fla. — Tropical Smoothie Café has announced the promotion of Jim Valentino to president. Valentino has been with the company since May of 2006 and will maintain in his current role of chief operating officer.
During the last two years, Valentino's contributions have included the launch of a new franchisee-recruitment process to assist in future development, a national real estate site selection program, and the rollout of FranConnect software to help improve two-way (franchisee/franchisor) communication.
Valentino is a restaurant veteran with more than 30 years experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Tropical Smoothie Café, he was a member of the leadership team at Cold Stone Creamery. At Cold Stone, Valentino took a leadership role in overseeing the area developer group that was comprised of more than 20 different teams across the country.
