DALLAS — Chicken wing chain Wingstop has achieved two milestones as it wraps up the year. The chain has now hit 1 million wings sold per day at the same time it has reached the 1.5 billion wings sold mark.

By year's end, Wingstop will have opened 72 new restaurants, bringing its total to more than 650. The chain has posted 21 consecutive quarters of comparable-store sales increases.
